Travel to the south of Crete and feel carefree on the famous hippie beach like “Flower Children” of the “60s and “70s.
This time we will travel to the south and centre of Crete.
After an incredible journey through many small traditional villages, areas with unique cultures and beautiful landscapes, which differ from those of northern Crete, we will head to our first stop in the picturesque coastal village of Agia Galini for a coffee and a walk.
The village of Matala and its troglodyte beach became world-famous thanks to the “Flower Children”, who lived there at the end of the years 1960-1970.
On the famous hippie beach, we will enjoy our swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Libyan Sea, relax in the sun and have a lunch in one of the restaurants by the sea.

We can also explore the Neolithic caves, dug in the cliffs where the hippies lived and feel carefree as the “Flower Children.”
We stay at Matala beach for 4 hours.
Upon our return, we will stop at the traditional village of Spili, we will refresh the 25 lion-shaped fountains, which bring crystalline drinking water from Mount Psiloritis and we will have free time for a walk, a coffee and shopping in the local traditional shops.
