Imbros is the second most popular gorge in Crete after Samaria. The route is safe, easy and with approximately 60% of shade. The length is 8 km (5 miles) and the descending path is not particularly tiring and can be crossed in 2, 5 to 3 hours, including the necessary stops.
The visitors will be impressed by the wild beauty of the scenery without any human interventions, by the huge vertical rocks and by the variety of unique trees and plants.
At the end of the gorge, at Komitades village, in a traditional Cretan tavern with amazing view and delicious food, we will enjoy our lunch (not included in the price).
The tour will end with a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Libyan Sea, in Frangokastello, a sandy beach with a beautiful castle of the 14th century.

Walked the gorge with a group of friends and all I can say is wow! The views are stunning and it isn’t too hard on the old legs. Even a place half way to stop for some refreshing drinks!
This is an excellent gorge to hike with many kinds of people who love to hike in great nature. 2-3 hours hike depending on the shape of the hikers but it is great to everybody appreciating spectacular nature!
